The National Parks are some of the best places to go camping, as there's so much to see and do. The Moab, Utah National Park has something for the whole family, including your canine members. Looking to bring your dog with you on your adventure? Here are some tips to make it easy and fun for everyone.

Before you start planning, you need to know the rules regarding taking your dog with you. Every campground will have different rules, so check these out online first. Knowing in advance will make your trip a lot smoother.”

At National Parks, in particular, you'll often see that dogs aren't allowed on hiking trails or on ranger-led programs. As such, you'll need to know what you plan to do with your dog if you want to participate in these activities. They will be allowed in campgrounds, picnic areas, paved roads, and viewpoints, though.

If you're thinking of taking your dog with you to a National Park, you'll need to consider how they'll get along with others. In a campground you'll be sharing space with others, and so they need to be able to respect others' space too. If they are found to bark excessively, you could receive a citation.

You'll also need to consider how they'll behave around the wildlife in the parks. You should be able to control your dog so they won't cause a disturbance or put the wildlife at risk. They will always need to be wearing a collar or harness, and a lead that's no more than 6 feet long.

When packing for your camping trip, ensure that you bring enough food for you and your family. You'll also need to ensure you're bringing enough for your dog, too. Bring enough food for the trip, as well as some extra food in case of emergencies.

As for water, please make sure that your dog has access to water whenever they need it. Have a bowl at your campsite, and bring a bottle with you when you take your dog on walks. Dog water bottles that dispense water into an attached bowl your dog can drink from are perfect for camping.

Just like you, your dog has luggage they'll need to bring. Please make sure that you pack everything that they'll need before you go.

8 Photo Hotspots in Moab, Utah

Moab, Utah is a photographer's paradise. The goal of this post is to help you narrow down (and find) some of these hot spot shots in and around Moab. Some of the shots featured here are in the early morning sunrise hours and others at sunset. If you've got the know-how you can grab night-time photos with the stars as your backdrop. The creativity is up to you, but be advised that most of these photo spots require a bit of hiking on your part which of course means being prepared for the conditions.

Delicate Arch is a classic must-do while in Moab. With a 3.2-mile hike and an elevation gain of 629 feet, this moderate out-and-back trail to the beautiful, grand arch will give you the perfect photo ops.

How to get there: The trailhead to Delicate Arch is located almost in the center of the park map. You'll get a park map as you enter Arches National Park. Plan your driving and hiking time so you get there with plenty of time before the "golden hour" of sunset. Many hike there in the morning or during the day as well.

The Double Arch may be a relatively easy short walk, but the final destination is unlike anything you’ve ever seen. At just .6 miles, this beautiful double arch formation proves that you don’t have to hike or go far to see some truly spectacular views.

How to get there: Among the features you'll visit on a guided Arches tour , the trailhead here is in the lower parking lot in the "Windows Section" of Arches National Park.

Rated as one of the most scenic byways in the U.S., taking a drive through the beautiful 44.6-mile-long stretch of state highway, carving through the red rock formations, and running along the Colorado River, you’re sure to get some truly amazing shots.

How to get there: Simply drive east along the Colorado River from Moab toward Cisco and I-70 until you feel like turning around. There will be spectacular views the entire drive. Most of this same scenery is seen on any of the day rafting trips , or horseback rides near Red Cliffs Lodge.

Corona and Bowtie Arch do not reside in the Arches National Park however, that in no way means they do not capture the attention of so many visitors that hike to see these jaw-dropping arches. The two arches are right next to each other at the end of a moderate 2.4-mile hike with an elevation gain of 482 feet. It’s safe to say you’ll get some stunning shots of the two amazing rock formations.

How to get there: Turn off of Hwy 191 to Hwy 279. Corona Arch trailhead is about 10 miles down Hwy 279 along the Colorado River (heading downstream) toward "Potash".

As pictured, you can frame the Turret Arch inside the North Window. Closer to the Turret Arch, you can achieve a perfect angle by using the stairs leading up to the arch, creating the ideal shot. Although it’s the smallest arch out of the three on the trail loop, you’ll be sure to capture some truly amazing shots with the right angle.

How to get there: Turret Arch is part of the "Windows Section" trail loop you would visit on the Arches guided tour.

There’s one word that comes to mind to describe Dead Horse Point and that word is grand. With multiple lookout points in the state park, you are sure to score some remarkable shots of the famous Riverbend.

How to get there: An easy and rewarding drive up Hwy 313 will lead you to Dead Horse Point State Park. Canyonlands National Park is further along the same highway. Guided mountain biking tours wind their way between different lookout points in this spectacular state park.

For those who want something to capture beyond the outdoor landscape that makes Moab so unique, there is the classic "Greetings from Moab" sign. Moab has so many exciting murals and this one for sure is the perfect place to photograph to remember your stay.

How to get there: Walk along Main Street in Moab, Utah, until you reach the cross street of 200 North. The mural is painted on the side of the Bowen Motel.

On your way to the two arches, there is an active railroad track you cross to get back to the trail to the arches. The tracks carve through some rock and if followed, will lead to a faraway viewpoint of the two arches. Not too far into the tracks, one can get some pretty incredible, unique shots. CAUTION: The railroad is an active track so be aware, listen for trains and get off the tracks if needed.

How to get there: The train tracks are part of the trail as you head toward Corona Arch, just a short distance from the trailhead.

The Best Lunch, Dinner and Dessert Spots in Moab!

For years, my family has made Moab, Utah, the focus of every Spring Break, and now, living in Moab, working at the Moab Adventure Center, I have collected a menu of my favorite dinner, lunch, and dessert spots in Moab. Many of these places and dishes bring me memories, but I guarantee they are great plates no matter what adventures you've been having. Bon apetit!

If you’re looking for a little diversity in your meals, I recommend Arches Thai. It’s a great sit-down or take-out restaurant. I prefer to go for lunch, but it also makes an excellent spot for dinner.

CHICKEN SALAD - I recently ordered the chicken salad, and it was fantastic, from the presentation of the dinner to the last bite. I love how it was styled as a lettuce wrap rather than having the lettuce shredded throughout it. In this style, you could eat it like a giant wrap or cut up the lettuce and mix it in with the other greens and protein. The salad portions are just enough to make you feel full and refreshed. The food also comes with different spice levels, so if you like your dish with a little kick they have no shortage of heat.

Dining in Gloria's not only provides you with delicious food but also an adorable dining experience. For me, a person who loves food, the portions did a great job of making me feel satisfied, yet I want to come back for more. This place is a plus for pet owners because its outdoor seating area is pet-friendly, so your four-legged friends can come to join you!

QUINOA SALAD - During my last trip to Gloria's, I ordered the quinoa salad, which I highly recommend. It’s filled with fun, bright veggies that leave you walking away feeling healthy and clean.
GLUTEN-FREE OPTION S - This place is excellent if you have dietary restrictions because they offer gluten-free, dairy-free, and vegan options. My sister has celiac and can’t eat gluten, so I’m excited to take her here to eat when she visits. She’ll be able to have a real meal, without feeling like she’s restricted to the classic average Caesar salad. There is no shortage of food options on their breakfast, lunch, and dinner menus, which offer gluten-free items, with at least a third of the menu catering to those with celiac disease.

I love the food truck park; it’s a fun place to hang out, eat lunch, and spend time outside with friends and family. You are surrounded by several different options to choose from, so no matter what mood you’re in, they’ll have something for you.

TACOS EL GORDO - I’m a big Mexican food fan, so my favorite food truck is Tacos El Gordo! Their tasty street tacos do the trick to fix a hangry mood. They are fresh, bite-sized, and make your taste buds very happy. You might need to place a couple of orders of their tacos, as just one serving might not be enough, especially after a day of adventure. This is an active area, and a lot of people like to bring their dogs or come sit down for a bite after a bike ride or hike.

Milts has a special place in my heart. I love this restaurant. It’s located a little off Main Street and in my opinion, is a hidden gem. I came here once after a long, packed day with adventure after adventure. We had done a big bike ride and a long hike in the scorching heat. I hadn’t had any real food that day, mostly snacks along the trails, and by late afternoon, I was getting hangry. By the time we had gotten back to the hotel, everyone was ravenous, and my dad recruited me to help get the food. When we arrived at Milt’s shack, I looked at the menu, and everything looked so good!

FRIED BACON AND EGG CHEESEBURGER - No bike ride or hike that day could have been more challenging than restraining myself from eating the entire meal in the car back to the hotel. Once all the food was distributed, we all dug in like wolves, and I have never had a better burger in my life! It was delicious, it wasn’t too fancy or overdone, it was simple but satisfying.
SIDES & DESSERTS - We also got fries, tater tots, and onion rings on the side, and by the end of the meal, there was not a crumb in sight. I am not exaggerating when I say I’ve never had a better meal, and all the sides made it ten times better. I also recommend wrapping up the Milts experience with a milkshake. Chocolate is my go-to, and it was the perfect end to a perfect meal.

Something for Everyone: For the past couple of years, our family has made a trip down to Moab for spring break. After a full day of hiking, biking, and exploring, the whole fam is whipped out, sunbaked, and ready for real food. Every year without fail, one restaurant we never miss having at least one dinner at is the Moab Brewery. It’s perfect because it has something for everyone. From the little kids to the grandparents, there are plenty of options to choose from.

FISH ‘N’ CHIPS - One of my all-time favorites is the fish ‘n’ chips dish. It’s hand-battered with a rocket bike lager and comes with a side of fries and remoulade. This meal hits the spot, piled with four crispy beer-battered fish strips underneath a pile of thick fries to keep you satisfied. It’s portioned perfectly to fill you up without leaving you overstuffed, yet wanting to come back for more.
MOAB MONSTER - If you’re feeling like you’re ready to tackle a monster meal, I recommend the Moab monster burger. This thing is intense, filling, and delicious; you’ll walk away feeling accomplished and full. In the Moab monster, you get mushrooms, onions, bacon, Jack Daniels BBQ, cheddar, Johnny’s onion ring & dead horse Ale aioli. As far as burgers go, this one is the way to go, my whole family wants to try a bite when I order it. It also comes with a side of fries, but you must pace yourself and start slowly, or else you could easily get full on fries.
BEER BATTERED ONION RINGS - The onion rings at the brewery are a must on our family's order list. I recommend this side or appetizer to any onion ringer fan. These doughnut-sized rings have the perfect amount of crunch without being over-fried.
GELATO - On the way out the door, if you still have room left in your stomach, you can grab a gelato. They offer about 10-12 flavors, with half of them being dairy-free, making them perfect for those with lactose intolerance.

The Canyon Pizza Company is the go-to for a pizza party! Located right in the heart of Main Street, it’s easy to access and delicious! They have nineteen specialty pizzas to choose from; it’s hard to narrow down to just one favorite, so I’ll list my top three.

BUFFALO CHICKEN - The buffalo chicken is to die for, topped with buffalo ranch, chicken, bacon bits, mozzarella cheese, and green onions. It was so tasty that having one slice wasn’t possible.
GARDEN STYLE - The next top pizza is the garden style, packed with toppings, and full of flavor, especially from the artichokes
THE RODEO - Lastly, the rodeo is a classic go-to. I love a good BBQ sauce, and “the rodeo” delivers, topped with BBQ sauce, mozzarella cheese, steak, bacon, cheddar cheese, and crunchy onions.
SIDES AND DESSERTS - You can’t do pizza without a side of breadsticks, and luckily, Canyon Pizza Company offers delicious garlic bread twists served with ranch or pizza sauce. I loved snacking on these twists because you can eat a fair amount and still have plenty of room for pizza!

The cinnamon twists are slightly addictive. You can’t just have one; these were a popular item at our pizza party and didn’t last long! The frosting dip that paired with the twists added a sweet note to the end of the meal.

For those seeking hearty helpings and authentic Mexican cuisine, my top recommendation is Fiesta Mexicana. You won’t go hungry with any meals from here; their portions keep you full, and you’ll likely have leftovers to look forward to the next day. They offer catering services as well as a sit-down style. The customer service was great; the staff was happy and upbeat, making the restaurant a fun and entertaining environment.

ENCHILADAS - I had their enchiladas, and they did not disappoint. Their meat was full of flavor and savor, and the salsa was fresh and tasty with a slight kick. I recommend getting the refried beans, always a favorite, and Fiesta Mexicana did a great job with theirs.

For all the frozen yogurt fans out there, MOYO (Moab frozen yogurt) is the way to go. However, they also have custard, gelato, smoothies, baked goods, and Italian ice! My personal favorite is their frozen yogurt, which is available in either a cone or a cup. My favorite is the waffle cone, which was delicious!

This is also a family favorite, located right in the middle of the liveliest part of Main Street, you can line up outside their window for some yummy ice cream! I love this place because you get a large helping of ice cream for a great price! My top two favorites are Superman and Huckleberry in a waffle cone. I like going to the Spoke because while you finish your ice cream after dinner, the evenings have cooled off a little, and it’s fun to do some exploring on Main Street while you finish your cone.

That almost infinitesimally small and fleeting moment, I knew, would have an eternal impact on me, and, I hope, on my family.

I didn't document it with a video. I didn’t take pictures with the intention of posting them on my social media or anything like that. I just let it happen. That instant was a private spiritual moment between me, my boy, and my God. It was meant to be savored and cemented into my being. Words really can't truly describe those precious few seconds, but what it was in my soul is now a part of me and who I am, forever influencing my world. Sometimes a single moment of true beauty is all we ever get out of this life. I'm happy I recognized this one.

Somewhere near the middle of the float, my youngest son and I jumped out of the raft and into the water. We were floating just slightly ahead of the raft. Comfortable in the beautifully cool water in the very center of the river, I looked around at the mighty red rock walls surrounding us and the brilliant blue, cloudless sky above. In that one solitary moment, my heart was joyful, and I just smiled. I looked at Andrew (my boy) and told him that it was the fulfillment of a lifelong desire, just doing what we were doing right then and there, languidly floating downstream amidst this indescribable grandeur of God. I know I'll remember it for the rest of my life.

I was, at long last, in my true element (even if it was for only a little while). We got familiar with our fellow raft mates. We talked, laughed, told jokes, listened to jokes, and listened to the great silence of the surrounding wilderness. Time passed - sometimes quickly, sometimes slowly, but it slipped away nonetheless.

Due to the drought affecting the area, water levels were lower than usual for this time of year. It drastically reduced the classes of the rapids from IIs and III’s to I’s and IIs. No matter, I thought. I’m just going to take it as it comes. It turns out that it was a bit of a blessing because it afforded us more time to spend outside of the raft, just floating along.

We pulled into the area and got off the bus while the rafts were unloaded. It was fairly hot, but not blazing. The sun was still filtering through some of the storm cloud edges, which were on their way out. The time came to gather in front of the rafts and determine who would be our guide. We boarded the raft and set off down the Colorado River. I felt a deep connection to this land, one I had never experienced before.

We all piled into the bus and made our way to our put-in point, the Lower Onion Creek Campground near Fisher Towers; my thoughts centered singularly on the journey ahead of us. After cruising along Hwy 128, taking in the scenery, I was reassured that this was going to be unlike any other rafting experience I have had up to this time.

Finally, I would be heading out on this day-long river trip. Finally, after growing up seeing the Colorado River portrayed on a small and large screen, I was finally going to be able to spend some time, some real time in this legendary, even epic landscape. This was going to be more than entertainment for me. It was more than just a checkmark off my bucket list. There was something more involved than mere vacation planning. I was becoming increasingly convinced that this was going to involve something bigger than just me; I just knew it.

The day started questionably as I observed the rain falling outside our cabin window. Looking at the radar image quickly showed that our put-in point was rain-free, and I could see over the town of Moab that the rain definitely had a solid boundary, beyond which was the clear blue of the morning sky. It would be a great day! My family and I gathered at the shop and checked in, getting our water bottles filled and getting fitted with the life jackets we’d wear that day. The anticipation of a day on the river was slowly building within me. Was the day going to be cold as the weather had been threatening? Would the water also be cold and provide us with more chill than was comfortable? I guess we’d find out.

Starting the day at the Moab Adventure Center, we take a bus up to the put-in at the Westwater Ranger Station. The morning begins with a smooth float, taking in the views, letting the hotel coffee settle, and perhaps even spotting a bald eagle. As the anticipation creeps in, we hit some smaller rapids. Guides sometimes refer to this section as the “warm-up”. After being on the river for most of the morning, we stop for a lunch break above the main stretch of rapids. This is where the adrenaline starts pouring in. The guides prepare the boats by strapping everything down and administering helmets. The much-needed safety speech silences the crowd, raising the thought, “Did I sign up for the right rafting trip?” Before you know it, we’re dropping into Little Dolores, also known as “Little D”. This is where the fun begins. From the formation of the canyon and the swift current, the rapids come one after another. The technical rapids of the day have names like Funnel Falls, Sock-It-To-Me, and the notorious Skull Rapid. Skull Rapid is known to all boaters who have traveled down Westwater Canyon, whether good or bad; it always makes a rafter’s stomach turn. During Skull Rapid, your guide might shout out the names of features like the “rock of shock” or the “room of doom”. All of these geological features in Skull Rapid make this section sometimes unforgiving. This day trip combines fear, joy, adrenaline, and an exciting white-water rafting experience. If you’re looking to get your adrenaline flowing, Westwater Canyon is the place to be.

Don’t worry if Westwater seems like a little too much because Moab has an experience for everyone. If you aren’t looking for an adrenaline-packed day, but still want to hit the water and go river rafting, we offer day trips just right outside of Moab on the stretch called the “Moab Daily”. With more flexibility compared to our Westwater trip there's an AM section , Mid-day section , and a full day trip that’s offered. This section of the Colorado River is a great place to get outside and enjoy the scenic float with some splashy rapids. With views of the La Sal Mountain range, Castle Valley, and Fisher Towers, this section of the Colorado River is straight out of a movie. For those who choose the PM or Full-day trip, you will stop at Red Cliffs Lodge for a BBQ lunch, featuring hamburgers, hot dogs, veggie burgers, a wide variety of daily specials, a salad bar, and drinks available for purchase. After lunch, you hop back on the water and hit the famous “White’s Rapid”, which, in higher water, causes some boaters trouble. Following a long day on the river, the trip ends at Take Out Beach, where we shuttle you back to the Moab Adventure Center. With time left in the day to catch a Hummer tour or watch the sunset at Arches National Park, this trip is perfect for getting the most out of your day.

Hiking is a great way to experience the great outdoors, especially in places like Moab, where it’s packed with extensive hiking trails for everyone. And, believe it or not, hiking is a great way to start being eco-friendly. With natural beauties to hike in and spectate, it’s important to treat these places with the utmost respect.

So, if you’re a keen hiker but aren’t sure how to make your hiking trips more sustainable, make sure you read on to discover seven tips to make sure your trip is as eco-friendly as possible!

1. Avoid campfires in the wild

Campfires are indeed dreamy and can be a wonderful part of a camping trip, but it has its downsides. Campfires in the wild can quickly escalate into wildfires if they become out of control, resulting in devastating consequences for the area's fauna and flora. Instead, make your campfire in areas specifically designated for them.

If you’re doing a coastal hike, or if you’ll be going near any body of water, consider wearing natural sun protection. You may want to take a dip in the water, and some sunscreen ingredients can be very damaging to the fauna and flora beneath the water, especially as they build up from multiple people swimming with harmful sun cream on their skin over the years. You may also want to consider sun-protective clothing so you don’t have to worry about sun cream at all.

4. Leave no trace behind you

Sounds obvious but it’s worth the reminder. Whatever you take with you camping, should come back with you. Leaving any sort of litter behind can severely disturb the natural environment. To begin with, animals may mistake it for food and consume harmful, non-edible substances. Also, as certain items decay, they may pollute the surrounding soil or water, creating a catastrophic knock-on effect for the entire ecosystem.

5. Choose eco-friendly gear

Charlotte Cross, a lifestyle writer at Essay Roo and Lia Help tells us- “it may not be directly related to a hiking trip, but choosing to purchase sustainable and eco-friendly hiking gear supports and encourages sustainability within the field.”

You can also choose to wear gear made from recycled materials, further reducing the environmental impact you cause.

6. Save up your energy

Most of our energy sources still come from burning fossil fuels. This is obviously very harmful to the environment. When going on a hiking trip, be mindful of conserving your energy as much as possible and consider using solar chargers and solar-powered items, such as flashlights and lamps. Do remember that solar-charged items only charge when the sun is shining bright, so you should definitely have a backup in case you’re hit with a few rainy days in a row.

Mountain biking was pioneered through the late '70s in Marin County and Crested Butte, but Moab, Utah, was the place where mountain biking sparked public imagination. It was a clever ploy by Hank Barlow to launch the first issue of “Mountain Bike Magazine” in 1985, featuring photography of people riding the new pedaled contraptions on the rolling slickrock hills, with red rock cliffs and blue skies blazing in the background—a cue perhaps taken from film director John Ford. It worked, and the rest is mountain biking history.

By the end of 1983, Rim Cyclery was one of the world's leading sellers of mountain bikes (they sold 15 that year). As far as I know, it was still the only shop in town in 1991 when my high school buddies and I planned a spring break road trip to ride the newly famous Slickrock Bike Trail. Today, nearly 12 million mountain bikes are sold each year - and several shops now compete for eager customers in Moab.

While the National Parks were still relatively empty, and the mining boom was all but forgotten by the early 1980s, a new and unexpected renaissance was about to hit the hills of Moab. An entirely new sport called “mountain biking” marked the beginning of Moab’s modern reputation as the “Adventure Capital of the West”.

Maybe comparisons to the Wright Brothers and Kitty Hawk, North Carolina, are too strong? The two Groff brothers and their dad certainly would say it's too strong a comparison. This local Utah newspaper feature sure highlights their aversion to fame, or as saviors of Moab's economy... but who really knows how these serendipitous things work?

So, you're headed for the river! It's time to get ready. Here are a few simple things to know:

Colorado River day trips in Moab, Utah ( Morning Half Day, Mid-day, and Full Day Adventures - a.k.a. "The Daily Stretch") are a ton of fun - and a scenic treasure like nothing else. The ride itself is typically a Class I-II adventure, and sometimes a thrilling Class III in higher water years. Westwater Canyon on the Colorado River , just upstream of the "Daily Stretch" (as mentioned above) is also a ton of fun, but in many ways just the opposite as far as ride goes! In typical river flows this section of river is the ultimate one-day whitewater rafting trip in the west (according to National Geographic Adventurer Magazine). Westwater is serious whitewater spills and thrills! Preparing for this adventure won't require any additional equipment beyond what we will provide.

I love this video because it is concise and straightforward, conveying a clear message. I especially love the simple statement, "We're deep in the heart of a canyon... you're not going to get this experience anywhere else." Get to the river and canyons!

We make light of the idea, but we are pretty serious when we discuss "rapid onset nature-deficiency disorder" or "post riparian transit syndrome" as real difficulties experienced by our guests after they return home from a river trip - a person's just not the same after a river trip! The world is not the same once your spirit has been allowed the necessity of breath.

Have you ever avoided drinking pure water because a tasty beverage is always nearby? And then your body is tired of extracting sugars and artificial flavors, and textures from the hydrating water it actually needs, and you find yourself finally just drinking some "plain old water" and it is by far the most refreshing thing you've had in a long, long, while? Imagine that same feeling, but for your long lost soul! We get trapped by worldly (non-natural) surroundings, and sometimes we need to tell someone, "Take me to the river"! The symptoms of the non-scientifically named "cabin fever" are precisely the same as those of dehydration, so drink some water and then get the heck out of the cabin! Rehydrate your soul!

At the beginning of every single river trip we've ever launched, we say something to the effect of this: "If your neighbor on the raft seems grumpy and irritable, and maybe a little irrational, get them some water. They're dehydrated. And while you're at it, get yourself some too, 'cuz maybe it's you that's irritable and dehydrated!"

We forget because we often fail to surround ourselves with the proper landscapes. It's really not complicated: Wilderness is land - a properly remote land free of worldly trappings, and "wilderness experiences" are the natural fruit of human spirits placed in that landscape. When the conditions are right, the human spirit breathes. It is not a sensation easily forgotten. Place yourself in the land for long enough, you'll feel your spirit breathe. Drink it in. Rehydrate your soul! (#rehydrateyoursoul)

Edward Abbey once said, "Wilderness is not a luxury, but a necessity of the human spirit." So true, but so easily forgotten. How is a necessity of the human experience easily forgotten?

After I retired from being a full-time guide for Western River Expeditions, I placed this quote (below) in my river guiding photo scrapbook. It had always reminded me which reality is the REAL reality. It's from the Fall Issue of Boatman's Quarterly Review (BQR) 1996:

"There are times when the simple life looks mighty good, and far too far away. Maybe that's what we love so much about the river. Real life means something different there. Up here, all too often, it's weird and hard and complicated. Down there it's clean and remarkably straightforward: Water heads for the ocean. The sun is hot in summer. Rocks are a factor. The river is in charge. The real rules are impersonal, but very consistent...and they all make sense: Drink lotsa water, rig your boat good, when in doubt scout, check those hand holds when you climb, tie your tent down, don't get cocky, treat people right, have faith, the world is what you make it."
